LAGOSIANS LAUDS MEGACITY AMBITIONS

Lagosians have expressed their interest and excitement with the on going road infrastructure projects of the state's governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

This call is coming as a result of the road project on going at the Agege-Pen Cinema axis, whereby the government is planning on making available an overhead bridge linking down to Oko-Oba area of the state.


With the projects still in progress, there have been witnessed traffics, road blockage but with all this 
in play, the populace are less worried and noted that they'd endure.

Three Policemen Injured as Hoodlums Unleash Terror



Hoodlums in the Apata area of Ibadan on Tuesday unleashed terror on the community, attacking passersby and injuring at least three policemen from the Apata division who had responded to a distress call.

An eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told our correspondent that trouble started when someone bought a mobile telephone from a trader but discovered that the telephone was not good.

It was learnt that when the person tried to return the phone, the trader refused to accept it and argued that it was purchased in good condition.

NIJ Urges Youths on Digitalization

The Nigerian Institute of Journalism has urged practicing young journalists to embrace the new media as it is key to societal development.

This was disclosed by the Provost of the institute, Gbemiga Ogunleye in an interview with student-journalists on Tuesday.

Scientists Granted Permission to Modify Embyros

British scientists have been granted permission to genetically modify human embryos by the fertility regulator.The Francis Crick Institute could begin thecontroversial experiments as early as March after the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority(HFEA) gave the green light this morning.

The scientists want to deactivate genes in leftover embryos from IVF clinics to see if it hinders development.
